Love Again

Inspired by Sugartown by Zooey Deschanel

You know that when I met you

I knew it was too good to be true

That I would fall in love again

Because you see the last time

when I fell in love

Boy, oh boy

It didn’t work, so I walked away

And I never thought I would get to say

Get to say “I love you” again

But then you came along

And proved me wrong

And made me feel love all again

Life seems so friendly now

And I know it may sound

Crazy but I now have no worries

Because I’m in love again

And this time I won’t walk away

(x2)

Another Poem – you decide!

My heart, from afar, seems perfect

but a closer observation shows it has been

broken, torn, trod on and left alone to rot

It beats, but it has no purpose now

It used to sing, but has lost its voice

It had a smile, but can’t stretch it anymore

because it has been

broken, torn, trod on and left alone to rot

It beats, only because it is its job

It beats, but its rhythm has no meaning now

It just beats

A stalker song!

So basically, I wanted to write a scary stalker song, and I was inspired by Every Breathe You Take by The Police – the king of stalker songs. Here goes:

Ever since you left

I’ve been feeling incomplete

So I followed you around

I see you’re smiling with another now

Why did you leave my life?

You left me for him?

I won’t let you out of my sight

I won’t let you have him

Whichever way you look

I just right behind you

Whatever you two are doing

I will be always watching

Why did you leave my life?

You left me for him?

I won’t let you out of my sight

I won’t let you have him!

A Poem on Nature (Wadi Al-Khoudh)

Away from civilization

I accepted nature’s invitation

and even though it did not protest

still I walked with care, lest

I interrupt this striking beauty

that the world has laid out for me

I do not wish to be a destroyer

only a silent, humble admirer

of this stand-still hide-away

of the mighty mountains and narrow lakes

How I wish, how I wish

to be a part of this majestic

this majestic vision which is rightly paradise

I hope its heart goes on and that it never dies
